Katie is an artist based in Columbia, SC. She graduated with a BA in Art History from Winthrop University and an MAT in Art Education from the University of South Carolina.
“Through my paintings I experiment with color theory, movement, and meditation. I intentionally create sets of paintings, that play on balance and energy, and often paint in colors and shapes to lift my mood. I enjoy creating abstract works of art inspired by poetry and intuitive movement with texture, layers of color, and line-work. Creating is a form of play and release. The process being far more important than the final outcome.”
